The Urban Park (UP) Roof Garden at Kendall Center transforms an urban rooftop into a vibrant green oasis in the heart of Kendall Square. Blending landscape architecture, public art, and thoughtfully integrated amenities, the space creates an inviting destination for community engagement, recreation, and relaxation.

My role centered on shaping the park’s visual identity through environmental graphic design, including the exterior mural, signage, and wayfinding system. I developed design solutions that integrated graphics with the architecture, enhanced spatial navigation, and established a cohesive visual language throughout the space. The exterior mural served as a prominent visual feature, bringing color, character, and a distinct sense of place to the urban environment. Together, these elements strengthened the park’s identity and created a more engaging, intuitive visitor experience.
